About AgentInsider®

AgentInsider® is the agent specific site forthe InsWeb Corporation. InsWeb, a publicly traded company (INSW), has been in business since 1995 and receives over 5 million visitors to its website each year. AgentInsider® allows agents to obtain pre-screened insurance leads for multiple lines of insurance. They offer an extremely flexible lead program, allowing agents to control their ZIP Codes, number of daily leads and lead prices. Agents can turn their lead flow on/off at any time without penalty.

Costs

AgentInsider®.com users a rather unique method of charging for their leads. They have base prices set by lead type and ZIP Code and then allow the agent to bid for leads against other agents from their same carrier affiliation.

They use an automatic bid system which only charges you $0.50 more than the next highest bid. For example, if your bid is $15 and another agent from your same carrier affiliation is bidding $10, you will pay only $10.50 for the lead.

Filters

AgentInsider® does not have as many filters as other lead generation companies but a few of their major insurance lines do allow you to select between Specialty and Preferred lead types which have preset filters attached to them. Their geographic targeting also is more limited compared to other providers as they only allow targeting by zip code.

Number of Agents Per Lead

AgentInsider®.com is similar to some of the other leaders in the insurance lead marketplace in that they will sell each of their leads up to 8 times - three to four agents are sold to on average.

Lead Sharing Partnerships

A lead sharing partnership is a deal between one or more other lead generation sites where they can sell their excess inventory to one another. AgentInsider® has a partnership with with other lead providers (including NetQuote), but a lead is never sent to more than 8 agents and is limited to 1 agent per carrier affiliation.

Lead Delivery

AgentInsder.com delivers leads via email in real time. They also have technology in place to deliver leads to lead management systems and comparative raters such as AgencyIQ, Typhoon (QuoteBurst), Leads360, EZ Lynx and SEMCAT, as well as other carrier-specific lead management systems.

Billing

Billing is fairly straightforward. There is no sign up fee, but there is a $100 initial deposit that is charged once you receive your first lead. Subsequent lead costs are paid using the remaining balance. Once your balance reaches below the amount needed to purchase additional leads, your balance will auto-replenish (credit card is charged) to bring you back up to your original deposit.

Refunds (Lead Credits)

AgentInsider® was one of the most informative when we researched their lead credit policy. Agents have 10 days from the transaction date of the lead to dispute a specific lead they've received. Once the lead credit request is approved, a credit will be applied to the account with no expiration but also no cash value. When the next lead is purchased, the credit will be automatically used to pay for the lead.

Refunds (Lead Credits) are given for the following reasons:

Obviously fake/bogus information
Duplicate (from InsWeb) lead within the past 30 days

AgentInsider® has been in business successfully selling insurance leads since 1995. They have grown large enough to become a public company and have formed strong partnerships with top names in the insurance industry. The service does not have as detailed filtering abilites as some of their competitors, but they have shown through their success that agents do return to purchase more leads which reflects upon the flexibility of their Lead Program and overall quality of their leads. Add to that a 50% off promotion, the risks of testing AgentInsider® are low.
